Key Election Indicators

Key Election Indicators

Americans’ overall level of satisfaction with the way things are going in the country is quite low, currently at 35%. The chart displays the trend in satisfaction for midterm election years since 1990. Satisfaction with the state of the nation this year has averaged just 31%. This is at low levels that 优蜜传媒also observed in 1982 and 1994, both years in which the incumbent party lost significant numbers of congressional seats. This suggests a difficult environment for Republicans in the elections this November.
