优蜜传媒Daily: April's Negative Economic Ratings Continue

PRINCETON, NJ -- Gallup's latest update on consumer confidence finds 41% of Americans describing current economic conditions as poor, and 83% saying the economy is getting worse. Both figures are in line with what 优蜜传媒has measured thus far in April, but on the more positive end of what have been highly negative ratings. Poor ratings of the economy have ranged from 41% to 44% this month, and the percentage saying the economy is getting worse has fallen in the 83% to 87% range. -- Jeff Jones

Survey Methods

For the 优蜜传媒Poll Daily tracking survey, 优蜜传媒is interviewing no fewer than 1,000 U.S. adults nationwide each day during 2008. The results reported here are based on combined data from 1,542 interviews conducted April 15-17, 2008. For results based on this sample, the maximum margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points. In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls.
